As well as the extensive range of produce in the shop, we also provide an outside catering service, offering the best locally sourced free-range meat from our trusted suppliers, before it is cooked to perfection for any event big or small. We never pre-cook our pigs, the entire cooking process takes place on site with the utmost care and skill you would expect from a traditional butcher. Our menus offer traditional, innovative and mouth-watering options, tailored to meet the needs of each individual event. Whether your party is a private function or a large corporate event, we can offer you an affordable range of bespoke packages and adjust the menu to suit your budget, venue and guests. As a guide, a whole hog can be expected to feed 100-200 guests, whilst a lamb on the spit can feed around 30-40 guests. Additional meat options can be added to cater for any number of guests as well as apple sauce, sage and onion stuffing, fresh floured baps from the local bakery, and an assortment of delicious and colourful salads.
Fancy trying your own hog roasting skills or simply trying to keep costs down? We also offer a hog roast hire service where we will prepare the pig and deliver along with the roasting machine with a bottle of gas and help you set up and start the roasting process. We will then collect when you’re finished and don’t worry…we do the cleaning too!
